It’s always hard to wait for the earth to thaw – to see the tender green shoots emerging. This is the magic season and it occurs so quickly in the northeast that one can miss it. If a rain comes when the apple trees are in bloom they will drop their white petticoats and all is lost. Luckily, we had the right combination of weather and our fruit trees are magnificent.
The alliums are almost ready to open and I can see that its been a very good year for my little conifer too.
Tomorrow is Mother’s Day and it is special this year because my youngest child celebrates his 30th birthday – the best kind of Mother’s Day of all! I finished a throw for him and talked Harley into posing with it.
Best wishes to everyone celebrating Mother’s Day and birthdays!
