glad

There are topics that one avoids in blogworld – religion, politics, sex, taxes.  But on this Easter morning I am going on record to say that I am GLAD we have a Francis in the Vatican.  St. Francis of Assisi is my favorite saint.  A blessed Easter to all.

It’s been one of those weekends – purely devoted to one’s creative longings.  Little to no housework, minimal laundry, meals of the take-out variety and attire consisting of PJ’s.  Bliss.

ImageI’ve had a small break through.  I have a tendency to purchase fabric and HOARD it.  This weekend found me (dare I say it) THROWING fabric away!  It’s a liberating feeling once one gets passt the initial shock of seeing fabric in the trash.  Did I mention that I was watching back-to-back episodes of Hoarders?  Anyway.

Clearing the decks provides for a fresh start – an opportunity to use what one has collected.

ImageWe have a new member in the family – of the four-legged variety.  She isn’t ready for her photo shoot yet, but here is a glimpse of a blanket that I am making for her …

ImageYup, that’s right – there’s a small horn emerging from Kitty’s head.  Our new girl has a broad streak of bad in her.  More later.

  1. She lives among some strong characters so she has to get her horns out early. However I predict that the loving side of her predecessor will soon emerge!
