I hand quilted this bad girl when I couldn’t sleep at night, using a fancy variegated sock yarn … DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS AT HOME!  I have a callous on my finger the size of Texas, and it hurts.  And hurts.  But I think that it may have been worth it …

I really loved hand quilting again – and since this is MY quilt I allowed myself total freedom to ramble hence and forth – truly enjoying the process and never thinking twice about where I was going.  Tonight, while wandering around the gardens I saw something that made me smile –

On the grape arbor – tiny little grapes – they remind me of my french knots!  Sometimes you know before you know.
