floral friday and a finish

The gardens are lush and colorful.  The daylilies lead the July parade, never overshadowed by hosta bloom or hydrangea.  A ripened blueberry sighting is rare – it seems as though the chipmunks always beat me to the finish.  Speaking of finish …

This dear little quilt is ready to find a new home!  It will be listed in my Etsy shop over the weekend.

  2. Hi Jody, your garden is just heavenly! Those hydrangeas are amazingly beautiful. The quilt you made is adorable too. I especially love the patch that has the baby crib, what a sweet piece of fabric. I hope you are enjoying your summer days. It has been raining almost non stop here the last couple of weeks, and the Georgia humidity makes the air feel almost pre-historic! Sometimes I wonder if one day I am going to look out our window and see steam rising from the ferns and dinosaurs grazing in our back meadow! 🙂 At night after a big rain the chorus of frogs and wildlife in the woods is almost deafening. It is a beautiful sound though and it is awe-inspiring to know that there is so much life out there in those woods. I have been working on a set of pink doilies for some end tables I have up in my studio room. I finally finished the cherry colored gloves and I am hoping to get a picture posted soon. After the doilies I am planning to start some Scandinavian color work gloves. It is a challenging pattern, but I am looking forward to giving it a try. I am hoping to have them ready to enter in our county fair in the fall. I hope you have a lovely day ahead Jody! With Love, Delisa 🙂
