baggy days

This horrific heat has driven so many indoors.  It’s a good idea to stay out of the sun.  Making things works for me and this has been a week of project bag making.  I lost my mind and cut into my Tula Pink Frog Prince fabric.  Isn’t he cute?  The only disadvantage of collecting Tula’s fabrics is, for me, the unbearable hardship of using it!  I want it to stay in the stack, away on the shelf, where it can be seen, but not sewn!  It is not in my nature to be fabric prudent, but that all changed when I met up with Tula’s designs.

Continuing along on my trailer quilt …

When I started seeing the scrappy Trip Around the World on different blogs it did not appeal to me.  At first. Then I found that I could cut a strip of whatever I was currently using and add it to the wall.  Before long I was hooked on this new take of an old pattern.  I like the idea that when I finish I will have a fabric record of the prints that came and went. Yes, it’s a hysterical blast of color – dazzling and garish in the same breath – kind of like life.

Mr Postman left a parcel which reminded me that my favorite holiday is just around the corner.  So much to do!  You’ll find me indoors until Someone starts complaining about the inordinate amount of AC someone else seems to be using!!!!  Be cautious – stay hydrated.

I can relate to how difficult it is to cut into our favorite fabrics! We never want to run out of them! That frog looks quite happy on the bag though and he is adorable! Your scrappy trip along is wonderful with all those cheery prints! Scrappy quilts are really awesome! Glad you are staying cool and having fun with fabrics 🙂
