feverish thursday

The Bucket List quilt has returned from Kristin, long arm quilter Extraordinaire … someone you will be hearing more about, someone who can transform even the homeliest quilt into a swan.  She really enhanced my piece with a simple meandering pattern and the use of wool batting.DSCN6490

I am feverishly binding it and then, after its bath, I will give it the photo shoot that it now richly deserves.  We are raffling this piece for charity (Friends Helping Friends) and I’ll have more info about that tomorrow.  I worked on the binding late into the evening and have a very tender finger today, so  I took a little break to work on Adeline’s newest dress –DSCN6498

Organic cotton, lined with the softest polka dot makes for a happy combination!  I’m also knitting a small cardigan to wear over this dress.  It doesn’t look like much yet …DSCN6495

This is a yarn once distributed by Cascade.  It is called Bollicine “Dolly” and is, unfortunately, discontinued.  The story of my knitting life.  If I find a fiber that I really really love, you can bet that it will jump off of the shelves, never to be seen again. Anywhere.DSCN6494

We are supposed to wear name tags at the September Guild meeting.DSCN6491DSCN6492

The lanyard was especially fun to make.  Well, I can’t linger here – the binding (ouch!) awaits.
